Job description

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Work Location Options: Onsite from day 1

Phoenix, AZ - onsite

Charlotte, NC - onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design implementation and administration of cloud-based infrastructure with automation and security first approach
  • Build life cycle automation for various public cloud services using Terraform and other Infrastructure as code tools Ansible etc
  • Lead collaboration with Development team to make sure business focus applications are delivered on-time with specific Infrastructure needs architecture
  • Optimizes cloud environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Build security as a first-class citizen in everything we do from Cloud Infrastructure OS VM Containers Kubernetes APIs etc
  • Vulnerability management with strict SLA is a massive focus here at the bank establish vulnerability management process scalable automation to constantly keep prod and non-prod environments safe secured
  • Partner with InfoSec team to effectively communicate educate bring requirements to execution and deliver
  • Build the DevOps and DevSecOps program vision and strategy covering all aspects from architecture design development and deployment CICD and Secure CICD
  • Produced excellent documentation deployment diagrams architecture etc
  • Build various KPI for cloud Infrastructure and effectively communicate to leadership team
  • Train junior engineers in the team and mentor them
  • On-Demand Production support rotation basis

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Min 7-8/10 Terraform experience is MUST
  • Solid GCP cloud infra experience with Infra security
  • Experience designing building and implementing distributed cloud architecture within cloud environments GCP preferred
  • Experience building data platform and Infrastructure as a code with security focus is a big plus
  • Experience with GCP CloudFunction GKE BigQuery CloudSQL IAM Looker GCS Firebaser etc is much desired
  • Experience with full DevOps cycle spanning across Cloud Infrastructure Cloud Security Observability CICD Secure CICD ProdOps etc
  • TerraForm experience building complex cloud Infrastructure ability to write modules best practice state files management etc is MUST
  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals Windows welcome
  • GitOps model solid understanding of various branching strategy is MUST to have
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing large scale platforms with high resiliency availability and reliability using public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in implementing security architecture and best practices in cloud infrastructure
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Team player ability to work within team and also be independent
  • Excellent verbal and written skills ability to communicate clearly
  • Innovator and one who keeps tabs on various industry trends cloud native advances and bring to teams attention for POC Implementation
